To complement the Activity Based Classroom Language Learning Process, an English Communication Lab was set up in 2000 with 61 systems and headphones. The lab has software packages to meet the dual need of the students i.e. English Communication Skills and Soft Skills. The interactive features of the software’s enable students to engross themselves in the language activities in their own style. The Lab provides comprehensive placement assistance to the students from Resume writing to attending interviews. Moreover the video and audio content stored supplement the soft ware, educate the learners and make them spend their time productively in the lab. An English faculty facilitates the language lab activities when students visit the lab. A lab demonstrator is available during the college hours to help the students in need of technical assistance.
The objective of Physics Department is to impart ample knowledge of fundamental Physics to the Engineering Graduates. The Department has a well established Engineering Physics Laboratory with the dimension of 86.7’ X 36.3’ along with dark room in which about 60 students can do their experiments at a time. It has excellent facilities and sophisticated equipment for the students as per the curriculum.
Chemistry department has tremendous, well established & exclusive laboratory facilities with the focus to equip the I-year B.E/B.TECH students, the budding engineers to be well skilled in the practical knowledge. The Department has well equipped and advanced laboratory equipment for Applied and Analytical Chemistry Research activities. It also has safety measures and is situated in eco-friendly environment.
The objective of computer practice laboratory is to give an exposure about the computers and its basic operations to the B.E/B.Tech students. The Laboratory is well equipped with latest computers and projectors are used to handle the lab sessions. Three staff members are allotted to handle the lab session for 60 students in 1:20 ratio which helps efficient learning. Computer Practice Laboratory focuses on teaching the basics of MS Office package by assigning tasks to the students in lab hours; this helps the students to enhance their knowledge about documentation. It is also designed to provide a comprehensive study of the C programming language. It stresses the strengths of C, which provide students with the means of writing efficient, maintainable, and portable code. The nature of C language is emphasized in the wide variety of programs.
